Dr. M. Amir Shehzad has high level expertise in the medical and laser management of Diabetic Retinopathy, Age related macular degeneration and other medical retinal diseases. He was trainee of Medical Retina at Leicester Royal Infirmary, UK during his Fellowship of International Council of Ophthalmology. Dr Shahzad has special interest in Glaucoma. He is dealing with and managing different spectrum of Glaucoma patients. He got the opportunity of working in the Glaucoma Department of prestigious Singapore National Eye Centre, Singapore. He has been managing ocular surface, dry eye and corneal infection and inflammation patients since he was post graduate trainee at Institute of Ophthalmology (Mayo Hospital), Lahore. His work in this discipline is regarded remarkable. He is “Global Ambassador” for Pakistan for the Tear Film & Ocular Surface Society (TFOS). TFOS is considered as the final authority for formulating any guidelines for dry eye diseases. Dr Shahzad is an ardent learner and researcher. He has participated in many national and international Ophthalmology conferences both as delegate as well as speaker. He has many research papers on his credit, published both in national and international indexed journals. He is author of a book chapter published by IOP Publishing which is owned by Institute of Physics, London.
